DAYS 1 & 2

Upon arriving at Victoria Falls, guests are transferred by road and boat to the stunning Victoria Falls River Lodge, nestled on the banks of the Zambezi River. Each of the lodge’s luxury thatched tented suites is tastefully adorned with African-inspired decor, featuring high-quality cotton, linen, and elegant mosquito netting to create a romantic ambiance. From this idyllic location, guests can gaze upon the majestic “Smoke that Thunders” – the misty spray generated by the Falls – and observe hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat along the river. Known as Africa’s adventure capital, Victoria Falls offers a plethora of activities. These include walking tours of the Falls, offering over twenty unique viewpoints, sunset river cruises, and guided game drives, as well as the thrill of helicopter flights and river rafting adventures!

DAYS 3, 4 & 5

A one-hour flight transports you to the private Makalolo concession within Hwange National Park. The luxury guest tents at Linkwasha Camp boast a stylish combination of modern interiors, with the main area’s open design featuring an indoor fireplace, a spacious plunge pool, and a multi-level deck that provides elevated views of the wildlife across the plains.

Home to numerous waterholes, the area offers some of the finest wildlife viewing in Africa. Witness resident herds of African elephants alongside lions, leopards, wild dogs, expansive buffalo herds, and the elusive sable. Activities at the camp include game drives, observing wildlife from the camp’s log pile “hides,” nature walks, and visits to local villages.

DAYS 6, 7 & 8

A scenic two-hour flight across Lake Kariba transports you to Mana Pools National Park. Among Mana Pools’ premier private concessions stands Ruckomechi Camp, situated along the Zambezi River banks and facing the majestic Great Rift Valley in Zambia. The camp’s uniquely positioned “off-set” Meru tents offer spectacular river views along with comfortable living spaces. The main communal area is adorned with a lounge/bar, dining room, and an expansive fireplace set under the night sky.

Mana Pools is celebrated for its abundant wildlife, including significant numbers of hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and buffalo. The park is also a habitat for land predators such as lions, leopards, and wild dogs, which are often encountered. Ruckomechi Camp provides expert-led game drives, boating, canoeing, and walking tours, alongside catch-and-release fishing opportunities for tiger fish, offering a comprehensive and immersive safari experience.
