DAY 1 & 2

Upon arrival at South Luangwa National Park, renowned for its exclusive species and the highest concentration of leopards in Africa, guests will find themselves at Mfuwe Lodge. This lodge, nestled beside a pristine oxbow lake, features thatched chalets with interiors inspired by local village designs. The surrounding area attracts a variety of wildlife, including elephants that are known to wander through the lodge’s reception area in pursuit of the enticing scent of marula fruits. Engage in game drives and nature walks to discover a rich array of wildlife such as lions, leopards, elusive wild dogs, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants, alongside large congregations of crocodiles and hippos. Back at the camp, guests can indulge in exquisite bush cuisine, enjoy home-baked delicacies, and spend the afternoon unwinding at the bush spa.

DAYS 3, 4 & 5

Journeying from Mfuwe Lodge, embark on a game drive along the meandering Luangwa River and proceed up the small Manzi River to the secluded Mchenja Camp. Set against the backdrop of a broad river vista, Mchenja offers an exceptional vantage point for observing large elephant herds as they traverse the Luangwa River.

Venture into the area’s varied ecosystems for outstanding wildlife sightings, including leopards and lions that occasionally roam through the camp’s ebony grove in pursuit of their next meal. DAYS 6, 7 & 8
