DAYS 1 & 2

Upon arrival in Kigali, often referred to as the ‘Singapore of Africa,’ guests will spend two nights at the luxurious five-star Kigali Serena Hotel, nestled among the city’s picturesque boulevards. Kigali stretches across numerous ridges and valleys, characterized by its verdant hillsides, blooming trees, meandering boulevards, and vibrant streets, making it one of the continent’s most visually appealing capitals. It stands out not only for its beauty but also for being the cleanest and safest city in Africa. Since the genocide in 1994, Kigali has been at the heart of Rwanda’s national reconstruction, undergoing a remarkable transformation. The city has welcomed a wave of cosmopolitan development, evidenced by the emergence of new skyscrapers, a variety of international hotels, and an array of outstanding restaurants, cafes, and art galleries.

DAYS 3, 4 & 5

Set off for Volcanoes National Park, a sanctuary for the endangered mountain gorillas. Embark on two guided treks to witness these serene, herbivorous giants in their natural habitat.

Nestled within the natural amphitheater formed by an extinct volcanic cone, Bisate Lodge offers breathtaking views of the Bisoke, Karisimbi, and Mikeno volcanoes. It features six opulent ensuite rooms designed for utmost comfort and warmth, with careful consideration for environmental sustainability and a reflection of Rwanda’s local culture. Conveniently located, the lodge is a short drive from the park’s headquarters, the starting point for daily gorilla trekking expeditions.

DAYS 6, 7 & 8

Located in the northeastern region of Akagera National Park, Magashi Camp is nestled within East Africa’s most picturesque savannah, featuring a diverse landscape of open plains, woodlands, lakes, swamps, and grassy mountains. This area serves as a habitat for large groups of hippos and boasts over 520 bird species. Akagera National Park is renowned for its thriving lion population, reintroduced in 2015 after two decades of absence, and black rhinos, reintroduced in 2017.

As the only area in Akagera designated for exclusive use, it also supports a significant number of leopards. The camp offers six expansive and well-ventilated tents with unobstructed views of Lake Rwanyakazinga, all designed with respect to traditional Rwandan culture in both architecture and interior decoration.
